Note: This workshop is about managing and implementing Social Networking initiatives to improve learning and performance. Social Networking and Web 2.0 software, e.g. Wikis, Blogs, Social Bookmarking, RSS Readers, SecondLife, Twitter, Goal-Driven Social Networking, and collaborative tools will be illustrated and demonstrated. Participants will be required to join exercises to familiarize themselves with the tools. It is recommended that participants review and participate with some Social Networking activities before the workshop. Suggestive list and activities will be provided upon registration to the workshop.



Certification Criteria
The purpose of the Certificate in Social Network Learning Facilitator is to provide official recognition that the participant has acquired the basic knowledge and implementation skills of facilitating and implementing Social Networking as a learning process.

Successful candidates will receive a one year free account to use an Enterprise 2.0 Social Networking System to support implementation of internal or external projects.

Requirements
Participants who desire to obtain the certification are required to complete the following:
  a. Completion of the basic four-session online event (six hours)
  b. Active participation in exercises using Wikis, Blogs, RSS Readers, Social Bookmarking, Goal-Driven Social Networking tool. This involves around six to ten hours of self-directed activities guided by the consultant.
  c. Completion of three micro-goals for implementing a Social Networking activity involving learning and training. Company related projects or consulting related projects qualify for this requirement. The micro-goals must be reviewed by two people who might be leaders, participants or peers of the candidate. The participant has three months to accomplish the micro-goals. This involves six to ten hours of self-directed activity guided by the workshop consultant.

Certification Fee
Certification Fee is included in the total in-house program fee.

Format and Structure

Virtual Learning - The sessions are conducted in a virtual learning environment using Interwise, WebEx or GoToMeeting.

Online Learning Lab- Weeks before the sessions, participants will be provided access to an Online Learning lab. The Lab allows participants to study basic information, references, and sources of case studies in advance. The recorded session will be featured at the Lab and will be available for one year.

Highly Interactive - Ray Jimenez is an experienced Virtual Learning facilitator / presenter. He will deliver the online event by using break-out sessions, hands-on exercises, and discussions. You are guaranteed sessions that are both valuable and engaging with no time for boredom.
